Characteristics of organic silicon wastewater

(1) There are many kinds, complex components and poor biodegradability: the content of adsorbable organic halide (AOX) in wastewater is high, which mainly comes from the organic halide and chloromethane synthesis wastewater in the waste gas, as well as the intermediates such as silicone resin and silicone rubber. The biochemical properties of these substances are poor, and some of them have inhibitory effects on microorganisms. The ratio of BOD5 to cod (B / C) in wastewater is generally between 0.2 and 0.4, which is a kind of wastewater with poor biodegradability.

(2) The pH value is very low, showing strong acidity: in the process of organic silicon production, almost all the hydrochloric acid used is discharged into the wastewater, resulting in a large amount of hydrochloric acid in the wastewater, and the pH value of the effluent wastewater reaches about 1.0. Therefore, the organic silicon wastewater should be neutralized first.

(3) It has high toxicity and contains a variety of heavy metal ions: copper and zinc are used as catalysts and cocatalysts respectively in the production, which cause serious pollution to the water environment after periodic discharge, and have inhibitory effect on microorganisms in biochemical treatment.

(4) The wastewater discharge has large fluctuation and poor regularity: the silicone production process is complex and relatively independent. Different processes are usually completed in different workshops. Each workshop has an independent reservoir, and wastewater is usually discharged intermittently, so the fluctuation of drainage is large.
