General situation of domestic waste leachate industry

According to the report on the development prospect forecast and investment strategic planning of China's leachate treatment industry in 2017-2022 issued by the forward looking Industry Research Institute, we consider that the leachate produced by the landfill accounts for 40% of the total landfill volume, the leachate produced by the refuse incineration plant accounts for 30% of the total waste incineration volume, and the leachate generated by the comprehensive treatment plant accounts for 35% of the comprehensive treatment capacity The results are as follows: in 2016, the output of domestic landfill leachate was about 91.52 million tons, with an average daily output of about 250000 tons; in 2017, the average daily output of landfill leachate in China was 265700 tons, and the annual output of landfill leachate reached 97.0075 million tons, an increase of 5.491 million tons over the previous year, with a year-on-year increase of 6%.

At present, the charges for landfill leachate treatment in China are mainly based on the influent water quality, discharge standard and treatment water volume of landfill leachate. Due to the different regions, different types and properties of garbage, and different technical routes, engineering materials and chemicals adopted by the project parties, the treatment costs of different landfill leachate projects are quite different. According to the actual situation of some domestic projects (generally, the treatment cost per ton is 150-200 yuan), combined with the national landfill leachate treatment capacity, the market scale of China's landfill leachate treatment industry is estimated based on the treatment cost of 150 yuan per ton. From 2010 to 2017, the treatment cost scale of landfill leachate industry increased from 8.991 billion yuan to 14.551 billion yuan, with an average annual growth rate of 7.15%.
